Grow Your Vision

When the ego the ‘I’ becomes unbalanced a feeling of anxiety is created, hardly surprising with demands coming from all sides, feelings of being overwhelmed, unable to cope, that the world is about to collapse around you! This is anxiety and is our first defence mechanism to kick in; it signals to the ego that it (id) and ultimately the organism’s survival are at risk. Essentially we turn against ourselves, We become our own target, emotions turn inwards, usually in connection with anger, aggression and hatred rather than any positive emotion. Feelings of inferiority, guilt and depression are the anger we refuse to acknowledge.

As we grow and develop, as we encounter the outside world, our experiences impact on our inner selves, our natural instinctual selves. we evaluate our belief system and question the impact our thoughts/beliefs have. Where have they come from? Have they developed through positive or negative effect? Do they belong to me or have I acquired them, why have I acquired them?

The inner self is strong, that gut feeling, the niggle, the I'm not so sure? Is it instinct or self doubt? Is it real or imaginary? Hearing your heart, Hearing your Soul brings our worlds together, they feed each other with knowledge and understanding, they bring forgiveness and beauty into our physical and Spiritual realms.

Trust you’re real self, you can only know what your real self has to say if you are open to experience and living existentially! In other words, organismic trusting assumes you are in contact with the actualizing tendency.

Carl Rodgers 1902 - 1987

To balance the entirety of our life we compromise to some degree however, every compromise that denies our authentic needs takes us out of balance.

Dramatic? It's definitely a journey of Discovery, of Awareness, of You.

To regret one’s own experiences, is to arrest one’s own development. To deny one’s own experience is to put a lie into the lips of one’s own life. It is no less a denial of the soul

Oscar Wilde, 1854-1900
